PMQ’s annual industry analysis
breaks down the numbers
to help bring yours up.

It’s an annual tradition here at PMQ’s Pizza Magazine: Since 2000, we’ve been gathering statistics and trend reports each year from agencies such as The NPD Group, Technomic, infoUSA, PMQ’s Pizza Industry Census, RestaurantChains.net and the National Restaurant Association (NRA) in order to bring you the most comprehensive report available in the industry today. We’ve gathered national sales data through December 31, 2007, as well as state-specific data and store counts for the pizza segment as of July 2008. In addition to numerical data, we also provide a snapshot of the largest trends affecting the restaurant industry as a whole, which can often affect you and your sales. Use this report as a guide throughout the year when making sales projections, planning menus and considering additional locations.

These are the definitions for QSR and CD used by The NPD Group.

All pizza industry sales figures in this report are for QSR and CD pizza sales.
